Re: Updated Digital PMR Listing
We still have half our fleet on that system, the other half on a single channel UHF assignment. No plans for upgrading anytime soon from what I hear from mgmt.
Re: Updated Digital PMR Listing
On face value, those numbers look impressive, but for NSW in particular, half the Sites are a UHF system and the other half are VHF, and in about half the cases, UHF and VHF Sites are co-located.system_tech wrote:PS: 23 sites in NSW, 2 in ACT, 11 in VIC, 33 in QLD, 28 in WA. 4 in SA.

Re: Updated Digital PMR Listing
SIGINT, basically correct (noone said it was the best, or perfect!)
technically, UHF and VHF at the same location function as separate sites.
Also, perhaps its not widely known, but UHF radios and VHF radios can talk to each other via the central switch.
As for expansion, I guess tthe systen owner is happy with the revenue they make, and don't feel like expanding it?

It is my understanding, that even though it has the same Client Number as the Fleetcoms system, the single frequency on Mt Gray is not part of the MPT1327 network, any more than the 5 frequencies at Sussex Inlet, which are also under the "Fleetcoms" Client Number.Longreach wrote: . . I see a fleetcomms assignment on Mt Gray but never hear the MPT CC?

Re: Updated Digital PMR Listing
I'm hearing NXDN transmissions on 462.8625 which is a RFS & NSWAS channel. Check of ACMA doesn't list any other users in Sydney metro.
Anyone else hearing this?
John.

Re: Updated Digital PMR Listing
Has anyone noticed if any of the TRBO and/or NXDN control channels alternate at all?
Re: Updated Digital PMR Listing
Some of the NXDN control Channels did at the start but seem to have settle down to one channel
