Geez that didn't take long! D108 (10107) is now patched with D306 (10125), I thought we might see some Sydney talkgroups patched with the South Coast/Southern Tablelands during the dead of night but not lunchtime on a Thursday!

It's not a permanent arrangement... just being done to address a short term "whoopsy".
Re: Wollongong & Katomba Comm's to Close
I might be a bit thick but has anybody got their head around who is suppose to be on what channels ?
Some of the operators and crews do seem confused from time to time
There is also new abbreviations in use or have i been hiding under a rock ?
On my unitrunker patch screen
10101, 10102, 10103 are patched together
10104, 10105, are patched together
10106, 10107 and 10120 are patched together
However it seems to be changing from hour to hour
I am listening to 10104 and the audio from the far NW of the state eg Cobar, Bourke, Brewarrina is like they are in the next room ie crystal clear

Re: Wollongong & Katomba Comm's to Close
pump 392 Muswellbrook was just told to change from the Newcastle/Hunter tg across to D401 as this will be their new working channel
Happily Scanning Since 1983
Re: Wollongong & Katomba Comm's to Close
That actually could be right... if I remember right Muswellbrook (plus Aberdeen, Scone, Denman etc) is part of the same zone as Mudgee. That would make them D401.
Moving to a system based on operational zones is going to show up these odd arrangements- it doesn't normally matter so long as the patching is set up correctly.
Cheers,
Richard

As long as they are in the GRN footprint, could be a very big issue if there in a PMR areaivahri wrote:it doesn't normally matter so long as the patching is set up correctly.

If anyone is after the latest version of Steve Banham's 'Stations' app to help sort out which fire stations are in which areas, I found it hiding here - STATIONS
