Re: New RFI Broad Band UHF Antenna
Interesting, I wonder if this is to accommodate for migration to the (lower frequency) GRN in the near future?vk2fear wrote: ~ I have seen them on the new Police cars ~

Re: New RFI Broad Band UHF Antenna
Andrew I was thinking the same and they are only 2db gain as well

Re: New RFI Broad Band UHF Antenna
Hi all,
Yeah there pretty good, Have used them at work seemed to do the job pretty well. I guess you cant expect huge gain given the frequency covered.
The older 'bash sticks' do 400-470 and have 4db gain. I run them on both my utes http://www.rfiwireless.com.au/mobile-an ... cd440.html
Theres always this one too

Re: New RFI Broad Band UHF Antenna
I use a few of them, as Matt said you can't expect huge gain.
I have been staying with the old style elevated feed CD9X series with either the 1/4 wave or phase master depending on the application.
If you don't need the frequency coverage I wouldn't use one.

Re: New RFI Broad Band UHF Antenna
Polar in Melbourne produce an even better one- I think it is more robust. I have 2 of these on my work vehicle...
