That is as weird as it gets, because the last Admin login to the boards settings was on Tue Jun 30, 2020 3:44 pm.

And today I got an email notification with the old (non-secure) http: prefix again.

Not sure what's going on?

Can you forward the email to me?

I don't know what's going on, the notification for this thread just arrived with a https: prefix, but a notification of a PM arrived this morning with a http: prefix.

I'll go back through my trash folder and check if all messages follow that example, standby...

Yeah, it looks like all PM notifications are still coming through with the non-secure http: prefix.

While thread notifications are mostly coming through with https: prefixes (there were a few exceptions on the first couple of days of this month (July) but they seem to have somehow fixed themselves since then).

There must be a separate setting for the PM prefix. I’ll check it out this afternoon.

Weird things are still happening!

I got an automatic email notification for a reply to the NSWGRN sites thread yesterday and if came through with the non-secure http: prefix again...

Not sure why this keeps changing?

The reply email notification for this thread also came in as HTTP, not HTTPS.

I have set up HTTP to HTTPS redirection, so you cannot access the domain via HTTP any longer. Although I haven't found the root cause for the email settings (everything appears to be set to use HTTPS), the redirect needed to be done anyway and is a decent workaround.

Cheers

citabria wrote:Hi all,

Two things have been implemented to fix this issue. The first is an automatic HTTP to HTTPS redirect, so people can no longer connect using plain HTTP. If they try, they will be redirected to HTTPS. Second, the links coming out in the email alerts have been changed to use the HTTPS prefix/protocol, so it should all be working fine again now.

Cheers,

Weird - I was sure I thought I did this already, and from the post above, I actually did. Something is screwy with the hosting, but I don't have time to work on it right now.
