Hi all saw this today on the m5 just wanted to find out where they are stationed and what call sign they use.what type of help do they do with the rfs.

From the RFS EOI in joining the Mitigation Works Crews (Source):

"What is the primary objective of State Mitigation Support Services?
To provide specialist operational services and hazard reduction support works, in a crew within the
state-wide seasonal Mitigation Support or AIDER Programme’s (Assist Infirm, Disabled and Elderly
Residents).

What services do Mitigation Crew’s provide through the Mitigation and AIDER Programme’s?
· Construction and Consolidation of control lines - Mechanical and Hand Tool
· Creation of Asset Protection Zones - Mechanical and Hand Tool
· Rework / touch-up of control lines
· Post burn rehabilitation works
· Administration of Brigade Mitigation Funding and Works Program Funding
· Quoting and site assessment
· Prescribed burning assistance
· Fuel moisture content monitoring
· Fuel Load assessments
· RAFT assistance
· AIDER work involves vegetation management works for aged and disabled residents on bush
fire prone land."
