Hawkesbury RFS P25 PMR Patched?????

I'm hearing a whole lot of none Hawkesbury RFS stations on their P25 PMR freq. Sounds like its patched to something else, never seen that before ?????

Anyone know whats going on?

They may have gone to the state based dispatch from Homebush, I notice Lake George Zone joined last month too.

The Shoalhaven, Orana, Warringah Pittwater, and the zone up around Coffs Harbour are all on it. There may be a few others I've missed.

On Wednesday 25th Hawkesbury was bridged into the State Based CAD system , there is another district in the Sydney Metro going over as well very soon .

Hawkesbury possibly with be joined in CAD with Cumberland and Baukham Hills

So is this only done during quite periods? if a district has a major fire while they go stand alone on the radio?

Its only done during while its reasonably quiet Kev and you'll hear the local duty officer on the radio with the dispatcher from Homebush and the paged brigade.

If it is a large incident or it escalates then that areas channel will be unpatched and either the local duty officer or FCC will take over.

I have heard several small incidents going on it all at the same time in the past.

Just on the other matter, so Cumberland and Baukham Hills to join Hawkesbury on the trial or joined up as one?

It is being done ie cost cutting across the state , the big factor at the moment is the council mergers.

From my vantage position in a Government Department noted for its big past spending the cost cutting seems to originate at the top with the Treasurer providing less than required in the annual budget then leaving the Agency to figure out its priorities and how to achieve it

They I'm hearing joined as 1 and the same with Wyong , Gosford who are now joined , and possibly Lake Macquarie to join as well and they will be zoned .
