I think someone has changed, i've heard a lot of activity on the following channels recently, with the rain and floods last month.
Users calling up State Operations but the channel ID doesn't really refer to this.
Also local crews not even using local channels anymore but calling up on the 'state' channel to go to jobs.
63-RT-TAC1
64-RT-TAC2
65-RT-TAC3

Are SES moving to a 'central dispatch' like RFS are in the progress of doing so ?

Morning all,

I might have come across a message about a week ago that went something like this "Good morning, the Operational Communications Strategy (OCS) is now live today for Members in the the South Eastern Zone (SEZ) as of 9.00am on Mo 12/04"

Listening over the past week they now refer to the OC as 'Radio' and there seems to be some big patching going on as far as GRN TG's go.

Cheers everyone

From what yourself and Longreach are saying I wouldn't be surprised.

Indeed it has since OXLEY is now gone apparently and replaced by Richmond/Tweed all the way from just south of Bulahdelah I think to the QLD border and is ALL run from Gong (and what a c0$kup it is too when it gets busy (like our floods last month).

This information has been circulating for a time but is now relevant given the flooding happening in NSW particularly the Metro and Northern Zone.
All other talkgroups have been phased out from general use (despite recent activity)

new SES Zone map

This information is from two sources .... "NSW GRN Scan" website and from a similar post on the Facebook "NSW Digital Scanning Forum"
Apparently the radio profile change is from 2018 when the SES restructured into 5 zones

Thanks Grant - I saw there were some updates on the NSW GRN Scan website and was actually going to post here as well, but didn’t know if anyone would still be interested.

Of note, I have noticed a lot of the crews up north (if not all of them) over the last week have still been referring to the old channel zones and numbers, so I don’t think any of the radios up there have been re-profiled.

It’s certainly caused a bit of confusion, but they are referring to a zone and channel number only instead of the names, which has made things a little easier.
