Interestingly the Linksview fire control just asked for permission to use the pmr and where given permission by FireComm.

Seems to be happening all over the place. I'm at home now and on UniTrunker I'm seeing the same overflow on Horsley, Glenbrook, Explorers. Users must be getting 'busies' everywhere. Some smaller GRN sites have RFS channels from Sydney-wide operating off them because of trucks who are responding out of their area keeping radios from their home areas active - no doubt contributing to the problem.
Some things never change .. 18 years later it's still happening and the agencices concerned (or perhaps THE agency) haven't changed their way of doing thing to counter the issue.

Hi all,
Can add Mt Gibralter to that list, it seems to be seeing all the Bargo fire traffic plus ESO 4, D401 and of course my favourite ESO 10. Must be a lot of busies going on there.

I don't see any simple solution though - it is the downfall of a shared radio system and the reason the RFS maintain their separate PMR network.

I know Col05 is busy, but basically there was a major issue with Blue Mountains PMR system with one of their sites, hence the quick move to GRN.
As mentioned in other parts of the forum, we have have experienced numerous busies in the mountains this week with Tomah coping the most traffic.

Is there not a least a couple of transportable units that have the ability to be deployed to provide additional capacity to the GRN ? If not, why not ?
