A CFA spokeswoman said the concept of ''interoperability'' between different agencies was broader than radio communication.
The rest of the article is so full of rubbish I wouldn't know where to start ripping it apart. But if people understood how difficult it is to implement large radio networks in Australia some of us would be getting paid alot more. What with 900MHz embargoes, limited 400MHz link spectrum, need for more bandwidth but without suitable infrastructure to support microwave networks... I can understand why CFA could be finding things difficult.
