Mike,

That common frequency must be the base RECEIVE. The base tx varies for each site. In this way the instant a radio transmits the bases in range receive it, and the Motorola comparator then works out the best site & actually puts together a composite of the received audio which is then sent on. At least that is the way the RFS system works... I think.

And no, not just knowing the receive freq... I assume that adjoining networks could be the same base rx with a different NAC, though I'm not sure if that is a great idea due to potential interference from mobiles in range but on the other vote group. Better not speculate any more...

Hi all, actually i thought these were the common inputs to repeater per area around me

These are the actual RFS Zone names.

429.275 mhz Southern Tablelands Zone

429.300 mhz South West Slopes zone

427.3625 mhz Shoalhaven

429.450 mhz Lake George Zone

427.250 mhz Far South Coast

429.325 mhz Monaro Zone

Hi Matt,

Thanks! Mike confused me by listing the same frequency but I should have picked that none were in the same area. You are right- these are all "Transmit Low" so the lower freq is the transmit & the higher is always the receiver.

A couple of examples from the Monaro which has a common rx of 429.325...

Yep, that was my mistake. The higher frequency is the receiver. All makes sense now.
