While we're at it, what does "CRIB" stand for (as in "We're right to commence CRIB")?

Andrew,

I can tell you CRIB is a paid, usually 20-30 minutes meal break. Whereas a normal meal break is unpaid. This applies to most government employees.

Mike,

HAC is a Health Advisory Co-Ordinator I think.

yes and the good thing is if you get interrupted whilst on your crib break, your crib break starts again from scratch when you go back off on it which is why you will notice ambo radio never call cars for jobs that are on crib break...

theres some terms there..

SOCO in relation to policing is "Scenes Of Crime Officer" or CSI/Forensics

DOCO got no idea, maybe some for Duty Of Care Officer possibly? I heard something today about getting some advice on duty of care on a patient they were going to leave.

technically no as they are still on the road, generally and i will stand corrected by an ambo if i am wrong..

crib break must be taken back at the station or somewhere out of public view so as to not be interrupted

Close Russell, I found out HAC stands for Health Access Co-ordination unit.

HEALTH ACCESS CO-ORDINATION
(HAC) UNIT
AIM: To assist in the management of ASNSW
resources, by redirecting non-urgent and nonserious
“000” calls away from ambulance
response and subsequent ED presentation.
