Might be able to look back though Unitrunker records, which might give an idea of the RID.
There is no operational link between the GWN and GRN. It is a PMR audio bridge to the GRN, simples...

Well from Garry and Russell’s posts the GWN/GRN link is out.

Would it be fair to assume that there would be other PMR links throughout the state in non-GRN areas for the helos? If so might they all use the same input - as a way of trying to locate them?

There is a 400MHz NSWAS link pair between the Springbrook Qld site and the Tweed Heads site. Just sayin'....

Mike,

Re the Tweed Heads / Springbrook link. I was on the Gold Coast about 2 weeks ago and both 468.6250 (Tweed) and 468.5625 (Springbrook) were both carrying normal ambo ops chatter, so I think the link is for those freqs given that there is not a second PMR site at either site for the ambos...there has to be another freq somewhere on the North Coast they are using

Hmmm, I wonder if the chopper has a separate radio for this PMR channel or it is in the same radio running the GRN profile?

It would help to know that to try and solve the mystery...anyone have the new ambo codeplug ;)

Perhaps it is not even a PMR link, could it be a discrete airband freq patched to the GRN...but then you would think one of the plane spotters :geek: would have stumbled across it in their airband scanning.
