HAZMAT IS MOVING

Hi all I was speaking to HAZMAT 9A from Greenacre today and they said they are moving to Chesterhill in the next few weeks.

Yep, from within the FRNSW Ranks the move has been known about for some months now. The CO2 Tender was moved out a couple of months ago to 38 Stn.

i still think we need Hazmat down Southernhiglands way as we are calling them more n more these days -
Also with the state gov killing the funding for all fuel to ACT by rail a few months ago we now have an Extra 90 Bdouble Tankers every day on the hume hwy.

On a slightly different note, are the FB reassigning station numbers or something? I've been hearing a "Pumper 601" callsign working out of Nowra's (405) Haigh Ave station but last I heard the highest station number was Station 514 - Tweed River?

Yeah heard the same Andrew. i can remember JAFO saying something about it a back up station for nowra. im sure someone will clarify it.

As the Post states, I First heard them returning back to 601 Stn last August but they were still using T405 callsign.

No idea if they are now permanently using the 601 Callsign but the resource used out of the Temp Station is now identified as 601 Pump on the FireCAD, where it use to be T405.
