Distortion from Katoomba Comms

Post by criten » Sun Feb 21, 2010 4:28 pm

Noticed something odd today... quite regulary Katoomba Comms on TG 33E/13280/401 is coming through distorted. Appliances come through very clear.

None of the appliances have seemed to report the issue, but I don't think the issue is my scanner.

Thoughts?

Whatever it was - seems to be all fixed now. I'm thinking it had something to do with their patch to the GRN as it affected both operators.

Sounds like just an issue with the link.

It happens every once in a while to Newcastle & Wollongong as well- a JTEC Mux issue. These are being phased out soon. They fix the fault by doing a remote reset.

Cheers,

Richard
