Thanks all. I've updated the list on page 1, and sorted it alphabetically.

Just out of interest, it seems "TS217" (or "Eurobodalla TST") has had a callsign change and is now "RV384" (they just went to a cliff rescue/body recovery in Ulladulla).

The list on the 1st page says "RV - Rehab Van", is that correct? I would've bet vital parts of my anatomy that the "R" stood for "Rescue".

Bigfella,

RV = Rehab Van.

Many many moons ago RV did = Rescue Van

FRNSW started to retire our Rescue Vans about 10 years ago. Stations that had their Rescue Vans retired, or replaced by a stand alone Rescue Pumps or Rescue Tanker.

At the same time, the callsign HR = Heavy Rescue was dropped too, and replaced by R - Rescue. So officially, there is no Heavy Rescue callsign anymore. It's just the die hard Rescue dicks who still use the term Heavy Rescue these days.

The Callsign RV was then taken up by RV = Rehab Van
