New FRNSW Incident/Fireground (TASK) Frequencies?
New FRNSW Incident/Fireground (TASK) Frequencies?
At a fire nearby today I wasn't getting FRNSW on my recorded incident/fireground channels (TASK 01 to 10). After a Google, I note on RR that the frequencies for TASK 01 to 05 are different to what I have recorded. Updates to RR were made in July 2019.
The new channels listed there are:
A501 TASK 01 415.4750 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A502 TASK 02 422.6375 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A503 TASK 03 426.0375 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A504 TASK 04 422.8875 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A505 TASK 05 426.2875 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A506 TASK 06 425.2625 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A507 TASK 07 425.2875 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A508 TASK 08 425.3625 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A509 TASK 09 425.5000 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A510 TASK 10 425.5875 CTCSS 218.1Hz
A511 TASKRPT1 421.8750 CTCSS 192.8Hz
A512 TASKRPT2 421.9875 CTCSS 192.8Hz
A513 TASKRPT3 428.7625 CTCSS 192.8Hz
D501 TASK 01 415.4750 NAC 100
D502 TASK 02 422.6375 NAC 100
D503 TASK 03 426.0375 NAC 100
D504 TASK 04 422.8875 NAC 100
D505 TASK 05 426.2875 NAC 100
D506 TASK 06 425.2625 NAC 100

D509 TASK 09 425.5000 NAC 100
D510 TASK 10 425.5875 NAC 100
D511 D-RPT1 421.8750 NAC 110
D512 D-RPT2 421.9875 NAC 110
D513 D-RPT3 428.7625 NAC 110
The current details I have for TASK 01 to 05 (TASK 06 onwards are the same) are:
501 TASK 01 471.3500 CTCSS 218.1Hz
502 TASK 02 471.5250 CTCSS 218.1Hz
503 TASK 03 471.7000 CTCSS 218.1Hz
504 TASK 04 471.7250 CTCSS 218.1Hz
505 TASK 05 471.8500 CTCSS 218.1Hz
Is it correct that the 471MHz frequencies have been replaced with 41x/42xMHz frequencies? Or was it just a case of not hearing the fireground channels for other reasons?

Re: New FRNSW Incident/Fireground (TASK) Frequencies?
Is anyone able to confirm if the new channels above are correct? I’m sometimes wary of what is posted on RR, so wondering if anyone has heard activity there.
I’ve thrown all the above channels in for the time being, so may be able to confirm next time I’m near a fire. Fortunately that doesn’t happen very often.

It looks like it is from a codeplug or information based off one

What was the NAC, 293, 476, or 100?

The 471mhz channels are not in the new APX radio profiles.Scotty wrote:

New FRNSW Incident/Fireground (TASK) Frequencies?
Thanks all. Looks like I’m right to remove the 471MHz frequencies then.
Does that mean all the NAC’s that are listed there as being ‘100’ are actually ‘293’?Chrisco wrote:@Matthewn1983 293matthewn1983 wrote:What was the NAC, 293, 476, or 100?

Re: New FRNSW Incident/Fireground (TASK) Frequencies?
From observations, D501-D505 are NAC293, D506-D510 are NAC100 and the D511-512 are NAC110

Thanks.
Goes to show that you can’t take what is on RR as gospel - not that anyone here does!
