Thanks Matt, and we are already pretty sure we found it- hopefully will stop in the next 30 minutes (give or take as the boys are hungry...). It is a HBT at Wentworth causing it. (update: should have stopped about 1208 but it may come back later today as there may be another fault that requires the techs to switch it back...)

Thanks for the pics Richard. Very interesting. Its not everyday you see what's inside the comms rooms at the towers.

No problem Mark! The way things look is starting to radically change. It used to be a radio base, a filter, a radio link, a filter, a power supply, and chuck in a few batteries. Now there are routers & switches, we even have IP based DC distribution panels... everything is going "IP". It is a big change for ol' buggers like me but being able to turn on my laptop at home & check any bit of gear anywhere, even turn them off if I want, puts techs in charge of networks like they never have been before. It is going to make my job much easier chasing interference than it used to be...

Cheers

It is Col, though getting them out of a car & onto a computer is a challenge!

Is the P25 upgrade still progressing...in particular the north of the state??
