468.375 Analog in Sydney

Post by citabria » Wed Oct 08, 2008 1:20 pm

Gday all,

A few times lately I have picked up analog police on 468.375 via ducting. Of course this is only when Echo is not transmitting. I havent caught a callsign so i'm not sure which area i'm listening too - any ideas?

Cheers,
Matt

There is a ch 22 site north of Narooma that might be coming up the water to Sydney?

There are also several sites in the SW of the state, you would think the Narooma one would be more likely though.

Matt, I'd say that's police channel Z central west TXing from Mt Lambie. I hear it all the time at home without ducting. It started late last year.

Thanks Mike, another demonstration of why the ACMA database cannot be relied upon all the time.
