Yeah I have to agree with you there Matt, I originally thought they were just patching it in for testing and it wouldn't last, but it's safe to say now that my assumption was incorrect (as most assumptions are)...

If nothing else it's a waste of a liaison talkgroup; I would think that channel x-ray will eventually be given its own PF talkgroup once they migrate and only those agencies that previously had VKG access would get that TG in their radios? That way if a certain SES unit, say in the Western suburbs for example, needed to liaise then x-ray could be patched into the appropriate police channel and encryption wouldn't be an issue?

The way it is at the moment just has way too much potential for interference.

Just deny all radio ids in the network, with exception rules to those with required access.

The ESO talkgroups are for sharing by ALL emergency services, not just one. Not going to say more than that...

"Channel X" does not exist anymore, they just use Channel W.
