Channels whiskey and Sierra combined today

Post by Longreach » Thu Jun 09, 2011 9:40 am

Hi all, as above. Patch happened half an hour ago, expected to last for the day. Vote 114 sounds a lot better from Warrilla than what it normally does.

Just for today? Or will this be a long term thing?

I heard Wagga and Bowral cars this morning when I was listening. I thought they were on different channels. Could they have those two other channels patched in with the southcoast and Monaro channels?

The set-up is running from Sydney.
Channel S has been patched with Chanel W. Bowral and Wagga cars operate on ch W.

I would say there are shift staff shortages at Warilla with flu
This is obviously a fall-back position when short - handover to Sydney and patch Whiskey and Sierra

Thanks Alex, didn't realise they were both on channel W all the time.
I think I remember last winter they had some staff shortages aswell.
Have just started listening again but the system seems to be working well, sounds good.

actually at the moment the combined channel is being run from VKG Warilla not sydney. they jusr came up on air saying the patch continues till 7am tomorrow.
must be problems with the VKG Sydney - VKG Warilla link.
must admit prefering the quality of the Warilla operators again.
cheers

The channels are still combined today. One of the operators last night or earlier this morning said something, forget what it was but basically don't blame us its from higher up.

Just went back to normal. Pity I was enjoying it.
Must have been a big fix up job?

Must have done a fantastic job fixing it. The channel did about 10 minutes going good now it's locked up with a crook carrier initially on all channels now just restricted to the digital vote. Great job.
