A little unusual for this forum, but I though I would try.

Presently programming up the CODAN for a trip away and was wondering how much HF was still in use by the coppers in NSW (and SA for that matter)

Does anybody have any info ?

I've not had that much to do with HF so I'm not sure if these are all USB?? The ACMA doesn't make the distinction anyway (although it would be handy).

P.S. I really wish the ACMA required/listed PL tones/NACs too

If its any help i was out the mid went over easter and were chatting to one of the local policemen stationed out there. noticed he had a HF antenna on the back and asked him about it. said it still gets used occasionally as the VHF coverage gets scratchy out there in parts of his area.

I am fairly sure that Radio Amateurs are the only ones who bother with LSB.

yep, all "commercial" and marine allocations are USB.
