As of tuesday Ch L has been in the clear off gpt tgid 57440 P25

Unitrunker shows a RID on 757501 for the broadcast on Talkgroup 57440
Transmissions seem to bounce off different sites at different times of the day
GPT, Chullora, Horsley Park, Cronulla, Heathcote noted
Sounds like a radio signal mapping exercise
For the record LIMA is still encrypted on Zone 2 Vote 160 on the stand-alone 468Mhz network.

PS I wonder if the cops know they are being rebroadcast in the clear or is it just a tech exercise.

yeah was listening most of the today in the east of sydney (so gpt) i heard a radio call sign call up (radio 2??) and ask at least 3 times for a radio check.

CHARLIE now being transmitted in the clear for dispatcher and cars (8.30am Thursday morning)

Site transmitting has moved off GPT to somewhere else .... heard nothing since 8.45am when Rose Bay 10 portable called up. That was half an hour ago.

Encryption is still switched on throughout the Metro network, regardless of what channel is being transmitted on the GRN. It sounds like the dispatcher audio is being patched in on Talkgroup 57440. I would be suprised if the cops know that their transmissions are being retransmitted in the clear.

yes grant syd police are still encripted every now and again i unlock that system
very interesting wonder if they do whatever they are doing for the rest of the channels

No transmissions today (Friday morning). Haven't heard anything since about 10.30pm last night .
In fact I have been logging GPT 24hrs a day on Unitrunker and it has logged nothing today whatsoever.

They have now switched to DELTA in the clear off GPT as at 11am
