At the weekend?

Should be some interesting comms.

Heard a stop on a "support vehicle" yesterday.
A van with a trailer.
I guess it was an advance party.

An aside:
Few years back, I was in Brisbane near the Rebels' club house.
A bunch of them rumbled past.
Old bloke turned and said something like "they all have beards, They all wear the same clothes. They all ride the same bikes. The all drink bourbon and Coke. And they call themselves ****ing rebels."

Just heard another odd call sign...OHG something or other. Was a bad transmission. VKG had problems with it, too.
But I think I got a reference to "Operation Camira" or similar.

Thanks!
I did hear it as "OSG", later.

Anyway, about 300 Rebels passed through around 1PM yesterday.
Traffic 200 (I think) escorted them and passed on locations.
Only "incident" I heard was when one rider crashed in Woodburn. No drama. He rode on.

Looks like the local HWP cars have switched back to their old 2xx numbers. Haven't heard a 6xx nunber all afternoon.
Wonder what THAT was about.
Still a bunch of visiting HWP bikes, though.

This morning, Traffic 210 signed on and said "are you looking for me?"
Operator was silent for a moment and said "are you a forensic unit"
"Yes I am"
Longer silence...."that doesn't work on CAD".

"Oh! Sorry....Forensic 210"

Maybe he was seconded to the special op, yesterday?

Brian,

Be interesting to see if the HWP change callsigns back again - they are heading your way again. The rebels left the Sunshine Coast today, well most of them, some of the group at the back were involved in a prang with an unmarked QPS vehicle

Was thinking that as I switched the scanner on less than a minute ago.
Not a peep, so far.

Yes.
A couple of blokes using local 2xx numbers, yesterday, are back to North 6XX, today.
Have heard a couple of Richmond 2xx calls, though
