Re: Military Monitoring
Since getting my first SDR I have really enjoyed being able to "See" the radio spectrum with the spectral and waterfall display. After awhile when you zoom in you can even tell what type of signal it is. Whenever I find something new I have a look at this website https://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/Signal_I ... tion_Guide It is a great guide to radio transmission's on almost all bands.
Copying weak radio traffic from the Taipan's on 350.500MHz today.

Re: Military Monitoring
Was overflown a couple of times by Century Formation at my home, a Lockheed Hudson, CAC Boomerang, Spitfire Mk VIII and a CAC Mustang as part of the 100 years of the RAAF celebrations. Great to see such beautiful historic aircraft. They are talking to each other on 129.0500MHz AM.

Re: Military Monitoring
Morning everybody, there is a large variety of Military aircraft flying into Canberra as I type this. Mitchell 05 a Wedgetail is orbiting well to the East of Canberra and seems to be in contact and perhaps is the controller for the event. Aircraft are calling and talking to him on 134.8000MHz AM. Should be a great day and I will stay home with my scanners and sdr's and watch it on ABC TV ch 20 HD.
Have a great day to all!
Make sure you listen to 134.8000MHz AM!

Re: Military Monitoring
Was a great show!
No internet along the lake for some reason, not sure if just due to crowd - but did get a quick hit on the ADSBx of most of the aircraft holding out near Yass etc, some Refuelling ops with the Hornets and F35's around Marulan area too.
The ABC Livestream replay is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1IYAD0Ie78

Re: Military Monitoring
Hi all,
I found ADSB exchange dropped out near the show time too, couldn't worked out what happened.
I was listening to CBR APP/DEP 124.5 and 125.9 bit couldn't work out where they went to. I was listening in my QTH in Goulburn
There was a bit happening on Melbourne Centre 125.0 as well particularly the stuff hanging around Yass. I didn't see the stuff around Marulan.
Great show watched it on the ABC HD
Cheers
Matt
