Looks like Bluescope Steel at Port Kembla maybe transitioning to TETRA ... these new 25K0D7W enteries appeared on 26th August 2019

463.01875, 463.74375, 464.06875
Licences: 10670354/1, 10670355/1 and 10670356/1

Site ID 201900
Bluescope Basic Oxygen Steel Plant. PORT KEMBLA 2525

I would say on the basis of that, the analog 800Mhz Type 2 Motorola system is likely to be decommissioned pretty soon

There is a lot of TETRA in Western Australia and Queensland, mainly mining sites.
I hope to put up a lot more information over the next couple of months, as I am now "retired" for want of a better word and can spend more time on it

I was checking the ACMA database for 865-870 Mhz enteries to see what was left after the Motorola Solutions TETRA decommissioning and noticed that the Bluescope enteries were still licensed

As far as I can figure Bluescope have an alternative 450/460Mhz TETRA system now in place. For folk in the Port Kembla area, can you hear the unmistakeable TETRA hum on 462-464Mhz

25K0D7W = Tetra

450.13125 - Simplex - TETRA - Slab Caster Steelworks PORT KEMBLA
450.25625 - Simplex - TETRA - Slab Caster Steelworks PORT KEMBLA

462.04375 - Simplex - TETRA - Slab Caster Steelworks PORT KEMBLA
462.44375 - Simplex - TETRA - Slab Caster Steelworks PORT KEMBLA
463.01875 - Duplex - TETRA - Basic Oxygen Steel Plant PORT KEMBLA
463.74375 - Duplex - TETRA - Basic Oxygen Steel Plant PORT KEMBLA
463.91875 - Duplex - TETRA - No. 6 Blast Furnace Steelworks PORT KEMBLA
464.06875 - Duplex - TETRA - Basic Oxygen Steel Plant PORT KEMBLA

They are still using Typeii Smart trunk to the last minute. Locos are still using it as are pretty much the rest of the steelworks. The problem they have is that they will have to simulcast some comms: particularly the rail control.
Locos i do radio comms work on don't look they will be getting tetra till the last minute. Currently as it stands there is zero traffic on the network but using the SDR# tetra plug in the frequency above is running and in test mode with no traffic on it...Just neighbour channel lists etc.
Shame dsd+ doesnt run an implementation of it.

The Magic carrier has disappeared from 463.01875. None of the other licensed freqs are active either. My contacts in the works have indicated there's no eta for Tetra just yet.

Tetra now alive in Blue scope:

MCC 505 MNC 2505
So far the only duplex comms that are active are:
463.01875 2521
463.91875 2557

Some terminals are online and working native in the system and some of it is linked across to the old smartzone 800Mhz system. A notable absentee from the new system is the railway comms, in due course.
