ebay sale - JIM M-75 pre amp

Post by soupbones » Fri Jan 06, 2012 8:21 am

I'm finally selling my trusty pre-amp.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330667327290 ... 532wt_1270

Like all my gear, which I look after, its in good condition. Here are the details.

JIM M-75 Low noise Pre-amp
Comes with rechargable 9volt battery ( supply your own charger but )
BNC connectors.
Compact size.
-10dB to +20dB range
Three range filter switch.
GaAs Fet solid state electronics

Selling because I just don't use it anymore, I know these guys are hard to get as well.

Good luck....

Gotta throw my 2 cents in on this one - its a top little pre-amp an it always worked a treat in soupbones' setup.

Certainly harder to get now that Dick Smith don't stock them any more.

I already have one and with a bit of luck I will have one more.
I know how much they were advertised for at Dick Smith .... so on the current listing it is a steal

regarding the preamp, I got my first one from an Emtronics many years ago, invaluable little piece of equipment. Unfortunately something happened to one of the frequency ranges, of course the main one so I sourced around the best place to buy them from is the UK, I have bought a couple when I was in my old building connected to my log periodic, was marvellous listening to the Stadium Australia.
Anyway just wanted to let people know if you are looking for one the UK is much better to source and cheaper than USA.
I am a quadriplegic operator and enjoy my scanning and amateur radio. Regards to all Mark
