Brinks
Brinks
have any of you Sydney-siders heard Brinks Armoured recently. I use to hear them on a 450Mhz frequency, but it appears to have gone quiet on my recent scanner trips south.
Have they be found anywhere else ??

Re: Brinks
Are you talking about the low powered handhelds they use or a base repeater system?
You would think now that alot of these companies are on some digital encrypt system.
The only one that I have been monitoring that sounds like Armoured vans is TG LCN 01-01-068 on the 490mhz LTR System running off AMP Tower.Users talk in code of locations & movements.
John.

Re: Brinks
yep they would be all running tetra or something like that due to the amount of organised crime that would monitor their comms to figure out when to rob them...

I spotted a BRINKS CIT Van in Newcastle today. It’s the first time I have ever seen one this far north.
Have any of our group members got their frequencies used around Sydney ?

rubbish, they use in vehicle repeaters just like chubb do.... crappy portable --> simoco back to back in the truck ---> base. split in to 4 zones. I won't go in to what freq etc, i'm looking at the profiles in front of me.....centralcoastscanman wrote:yep they would be all running tetra or something like that due to the amount of organised crime that would monitor their comms to figure out when to rob them...
Re: Brinks
andrew, as mentioned before, the biggest player Armagurd still use standard PMR freqs for their daily ops
