My Shack in Newcastle NSW

Post by Newcastlescan » Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:34 pm

Howdy All

My shack is a "in progress shack..."

The Australian Dollar has been very good this year and allowed me to upgrade some radios at great prices

I am an amateur, run POGSAG, live radio reference feed., monitor local with pro96com p25 M trunk, and adsb.

I have a few analog scanners spare these days so unless asked i wont go into a full catalog
but of you want to know i will list the gear

but I love scanning and radio!

Cheers

Homepatrol works well, obvious limitations with band plan differences..., new firmware upgrade(also paid extreme upgrade) makes it a pretty serious piece of kit with trunk monitoring (some issues to be resolved in next firmware upgrades)
if you want a neat small portable discrete scanner, that can sit on desk or lounge room lamp table this is it. Works for GRN and Hunter Digital Police. does recordings also

ask any questions and ill anser or make a youtube video to demonstrate
cheers
Mike

PS The Big M makes enough money i don't need to give them more cash!

By my count there are at least 18 scanners and radios and a couple of transcievers
Does this mean that you have lifted the title off Garry as "extreme scanner enthusiast"?

Thanks. I had a look at the YouTube vids - completely different to the type of scanner most of use would be used to. As others mentioned I can't see it ever being officially launched in Aus, the market is just not big enough, but with something as modern as that you never know!
