Gday Mark Nice Shack and i use 2 of the Stridsberg-MCA204M Multicouplers and with the Icom my top element was bent by birds and i shortened it and havent had a problem since i did that.

Those multicouplers are great aren't they, well worth the money.
Thanks for the info on the antenna, it may be an option but I think they are leaving it alone for the time being so I might do the same and see what happens.

Mark forgot to mention that the performance of the discone since i cut the top elemrlent is still excellent and as for the multicouplers it will cost a bit if bought today due to the dollar and what adapter are u using on your multicoupler.

Thats handy to know about the discone.
I forget how much the multicoupler cost me but I remember being fairly happy with the price, I bought it about a year ago now.
For the line in I used an N Type to PL259 adapter from Andrews Communications. For the line out I just used a PL259 plug for LMR 400, the antenna installer got this one for me.

Hi all
Just letting you all know that the Variety Stream on Far South Coast Scan has lost its display.
The scanner died and I have replaced it with an old 120XLT I had laying around. Unfortunatly this doesn't have any data output so I can't have a display.
