I remember being stuck at a set of lights in a truck somewhere near the GPO many years ago (I think I was a little lost at the time
), wondering why they'd gone red in every direction, when a heap of motorbike cops and a convoy of big black Chevy SUVs came streaming through the intersection at high speed... I didn't find out until I saw the news that night that it was actually Bubba Clinton who was responsible for all the chaos!
Google reckons it was November '96 but doesn't seem that long ago... I must be getting old?

I wonder if the Chaser crew are going to be in the thick of it again
They did serious damage to the reputation of the NSW Police Force during APEC 2007 (or as George W called it OPEC)

Believe it when I see it. He's said he's coming twice so far; and cost us a couple million dollars in security arrangements each time

Hi all,
ive set up a special ATC feed for the visit. his ETA at YSCB is 1525 tomorrow. the feed will be set up nearby to the airport and will run from 0800 tomorrow till 1600 thursday.
its available on Radio Reference under the ACT area(only one there) and all good mobile devices.
its available tonight but its only scanning Melbourne Center and is picking up A/C on Canberra Arrivals/Departures no ground stations,as im testing it.

Highly unlikely that his plane will appear via ADS-B as AF1 is a military flight ie Mode 5
However the planes carrying the white house press may appear (they tend to arrive beforehand) on Mode S ADS-B

Hi all, well he's been and gone and the stream has now been retired.
Heard some interesting traffic on the airbands while he was here. lot of different F/A18's (didnt catch the callsigns)seemed to be operating around FL200. heard SAM 22 (B757) call up and depart Canberra after AF1 left yesterday. was funny hearing the Delta Air Lines jet call up, he really had trouble with saying Yass (they were sent out of Canberra on a Yass 6 departure) but couldnt believe given it was the press charter that 150 were on board that?
