New Radar at Hume ACT

Post by Longreach » Mon Sep 05, 2011 10:37 pm

Hi all, was working down at Hume in the ACT and noticed up on the hill above Tralee a new radar happily spinning away.
Turns out to be the Transportable radar owned by Airservices Aust. its up there til the upgrade the radar station on top of Mt Majura is completed.
cheers all

That would be the one from Cecil Hills near Elizabeth Drive and the M7 intersection
Once Sydney Airport was up and running (the new domed Mode S radar) they have obviously pulled it down and moved it to the next project site
