ADS-B Antenna

Post by jaskel » Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:11 pm

Hi All,

I need to get a antenna for the radarbox, I think the watson radar extender looks the goods but i cannot find anything here in Australia. The smaller Radar Rama looks good too http://www.wsplc.com/acatalog/RADAR-RAM ... ain__.html

My old radar box died so i decided to go for a new one.

I was thinking of making my own antenna tuned to 1090mhz, anyone else done this??

or

Anyone else know where I can find this antenna in Au or if they can ship one here?? I want the best range for the people as I will be putting the radarbox online 24/7 for all to see.

Cheers

Or you could use a base aerial designed for the cellband. A tribander is best, tunes from 800 to about 1800 MHz. I have heard good reports from those who use them.
