Jaskel, Given it is some days away you may be able to find out more by checking this forum for last years frequencies (to give you a ball park idea where to start scanning), check the ACMA database to see what have been licensed for the 2140 postcode area, and google the V8 supercars website. Also check Dave's Bathurst 1000 website as he is normally plugged into V8 related stuff

Try these for the time being, the Sydney 500 list isnt available yet, but should be up this week. The tracks being prepared as we speak was down there yesterday. But dont take these for granted as yet, as some change.

Keep an eye on http://sydney.v8supercars.com.au/eventd ... fault.aspx for the updated list.

Also listen to 107.9FM if you can reach it, might need to get it via a nice big antenna from where you are. Thats the one to listen to if you at the track.

GRN was on SO or Incident channels for the ambos and firies, police had the big comms bus setup as well.

If you have satellite, try Optus C1/D3 (Foxtel Bird) on 12336 V(Vertical) 6670(Symbol Rate) - the last 2 rounds have been on that, and is tagged "WORLD FEED" which is the feed for international broadcasters, and is live, and AD FREE! But is lower power and you may have trouble with a normal 65cm dish.


I took my scanner there for the past 2 years and got most of the cars, i think there was only 2 cars that were running some sort of digital/data instead of voice.

Yep, they change at each location. But keep an eye on that link, it should be up in the next few days with the pdf file. Check bathurst scan as well for the race control, marshalls etc details from Bathurst, they all should be the same.

Ah nice, i been to the last 2, but dont think ill go this year, the Cold Chisel and Guns n Roses concerts were the icing on the cake, but this year didnt really interest me that much, especially when the 2 bands have been out and about for most of the year anyway. TV is the best option, just a shame its not broadcast in real HD. The stuff you see on 7mate is just upscaled, the raw feeds back to seven arnt even in full HD. I think Bathurst was the only exception. The scanner was pretty handy but, when the race is going, the thing doesnt stop, race control, marshalls, 20 odd teams, i had a few people hanging around just to listen to it, take some headphones though, makes a huge difference.
