‘A truck load of thanks’
Sign your appreciation on touring SES vehicles

The NSW SES and NRMA Insurance are encouraging NSW residents to get involved in the unique task of signing SES trucks with messages of thanks for SES volunteers during National SES Week.



When: Tuesday 8 November 2011

What: Two purpose fitted SES vehicles will make their way around Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, stopping at various locations where people can write their messages of thanks and appreciation for the thousands of NSW SES volunteers who give up their time to serve the community in times of storms, floods and other emergencies.

Where: Local locations where the SES trucks will be stopping include:

• Green Hills shopping centre, East Maitland: 7am-10am
• Glendale shopping centre, Glendale: 10:30am-12pm
• Lake Macquarie Fair shopping centre, Mt Hutton: 12.30-1.30pm
• Sydney Opera House, Sydney: 7pm-8pm


The final destination of the journey will be the Sydney Opera House where the sails of this iconic landmark will be illuminated in orange as a tribute to the thousands of SES volunteers across Australia.
