The passing of Lee Norrish
I have just received information that well known colourful local radio personality Lee Norrish has passed away after suffering a fatal heartattack. He was 34.

Many of us who knew Lee are in shock today. He was a damn good tech & good bloke- he will be missed. There will be quite a few of us at Lee's funeral to say goodbye.
Cheers,

I also heard the news quite early this morning. Lee was a great bloke and a good mate, did a hell of a lot for a lot of people, and it's sad that his talents and abilities as well as his dedication to assisting several community organisations have gone relatively unnoticed until his passing. There are many people, and organisations that will miss his smiling and helpful face and personality.
RIP Lee, our thoughts and best wishes are with his family at this very sad time.
I too will be keeping an eye out for the funeral info.

I am still in shock from hearing the news this morning. Lee did so much for so many people that his passing leaves a huge hole in the radio community.
Most of my work with Lee was with the St John Ambulance (NSW) radio network and without his support and expertise that network wouldn't be what it is today.

Even though I have only spoken to Lee on air a handful of times I too was shocked to learn last night of this news, he was a great radio tech & myself & my fellow Amateurs have reaped the benefits of his work setting up a first class linked repeater system.
He will be sorely missed.

Hi all,
For those of you interested in going... Lee's funeral is on next Monday afternoon at 1.30pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden Valley Way Leppington.
You can be pretty sure the radio industry is going to be all but shut down on Monday afternoon out of respect for Lee.

Thanks Richard, good timing, I was just about to put this up here myself as I noticed it hadn't been posted as yet.
Sure to be a very sombre day for all, i've no doubt the show of support for Lee and his family will be nothing short of incredible.
