Post by astro_boy » Fri Nov 22, 2019 11:55 am

As the Gospers Mountian Fire continues to grow past 170,000ha Radio communications have become a bit more structured, I've recorded the following in use so far.

NP;
162.3500 - Narrow Neck
162.3000 - Mt Tomah

RFS;
420.200 - Hawksbury FireCom
TG44 OPS14 (tg10071) - DivCom Fireground
TG32 OPS2 (tg10059) - Air Ops
TG55 SMSS 5 - Air Base Ops

CFA;
CFA Portable Firegrounds (Unable to get a hit yet)

East Div FCTAF: 124.45 - West Div FCTAF: 130.65 - North Div FCTAF: 125.45

nothing really official for CFA, i think they just have the NSW RFS FG channels in their radio but cant confirm that.

I thought the same but then over heard the south divcom asking someone to grab a spare CFA radio of the CFA team so he could communicate directly with them.
So it sounds like they were totally isolated radio wise.
