Radio was going crazy this afternoon - this is some of the footage from Ten News, includes Helo Rescue 24 sitting on the southbound lanes, FRNSW, NSWPF, RTA and ASNSW.

When I heard the incident come over ambos, I switched a radio to UHF CB CH40 and listened to what the truckies were saying. Amoungst the abuse and scratchy transmissions, I heard what sounded like someone re-transmitting 2way comms with very specific details about what was going on at the scene. It wasn't RTA, it sounded like the M7 patrol team on scene talking to someone in the control room. The comms room operators were watching it on video, talking about what they could see, what ramp to take, where the cops were etc.

I was high up in the Roselands area and could tell it was someone holding the CB mic to the speaker of the 2way radio. The signal was very strong in the Roselands area. So if it was the M7 control transmissions, someone with a Zeon radio was letting the truckies know what was going on.
