Anzac Day CBD Road Closures

Should hear activity on the GRN, 10704, 10708. NSWPF have been heard on 10704 during major events, mainly City 300, Rocks 300, Surry Hills 300 and Redfern 300. For those that are interested.

Vehicles using the Sydney Harbour Bridge or the Sydney Harbour Tunnel on Anzac Day (Wednesday 25 April) will not be charged a toll from just after midnight until 12 midday.

Road closures and special event clearways will be in place in Sydney’s CBD on Wednesday 25 April 2012 for Anzac Day Dawn Service and March.

Roads in the vicinity of Martin Place will begin closing at 3am for the Dawn Service. The Anzac Day March route and surrounding roads will begin closing from 6am and remain closed until 3pm.

The march will start at 9am from the Cenotaph in Martin Place, heading south on George St, turn east into Bathurst St and finishing in Hyde Park South at the Anzac Memorial.

Special event clearways will be in place from 1am to 3pm on Wednesday 25 April 2012. Motorists are advised to check signs before parking as vehicles parked in special event clearways will be towed and fines apply.
