Where

Once again we plan to have the CCARC Field Day held at the Wyong Race Course on the Central Coast. For directions by road go to our directions page.

Entry fee

Admission $12.00 per person with persons younger than 17 years of age free.

Traders and Exhibitors

The traders and exhibitors area will open to the public for trading from 9:00am on Sunday. Access to this area before then will be restricted to CCARC Field Day officials and authorised traders.

Fleamarket

For those who wish to sell their own equipment, open boot or tailgate sales may be conducted in the Fleamarket. No bookings needed, just turn up on the day and pay at the gate. Setup and trading from 6:30am.
Note that the Fleamarket is not under cover, and as such traders in the Fleamarket may need to provide protection for their display in the case of adverse weather.

In 10 years of having a license I've never felt the need to go...

I might turn up this year just to see what its all about for myself..

I last went up there about '98 or '99. Got some good deals on some FM92's and Sawtrons - all the rage back around then. Wouldn't bother nowadays, as most things available from the field day can be had on the Internet.

I don't know about that Scotty... I trawl around on the web & don't see quite a few of the rarer items found at Wyong. It comes down to what you are looking for- if its just 2 ways then forget it as the prices can be silly & the quality suspect. Still if Jaycar wasn't there, neither would I be. We probably have 5 coming from work this year, up from 3, and we will have a quiet toast to Lee Norrish as we have always sat down & had a cold one with Lee at Wyong in recent years. It will not be the same.

True, there are likely still some bargains to be had up there. All I was ever after were complete, fully functional radios, and with the internet nowadays I don't have to wait till 1 specific day to snap one up.
