800Mhz Trunking - ANZ Stadium

Post by cartman » Sat Dec 11, 2010 3:58 pm

Monitoring ANZ Stadium 800Mhz Motorola trunking at Homebush this afternoon with Unitrunker Retro from Blacktown
The 5w low-powered signal is all over the place but it is clear that there is a lot of work going on in preparation for the U2 concert on Monday

I have been monitoring System 5114 (offset 105.8Hz) since 1999 and very little has changed

The following talkgroups are active this afternoon
57424 = RAS Showground security
58032 = Stadium Event Management
58256 = Stadium Security
58352 = Unidentified
59056 = Unidentified

Frequencies:
865.0375, 866.0375, 867.0375, 868.0375, 869.0375
865.3125, 866.3125, 867.3125, 868.3125, 869.0375
865.6875, 866.6875, 867.3125, 868.3125, 869.0375

There are also the usual SOPA frequencies as well to monitor (look up Sydney Olympic Park Authority under Homebush Postcode 2140 on ACMA database)

Probably too late, but if you see the thread here it contains a recent confirmed list of 800MHz trunking sites, control channels and frequencies.

It never used to be low power, wonder how longs its been like that for ? as if it was like that when i worked there many years ago that might explain why there were entire chunks of seating where we could not get reception

Is this site still active? One of very few analogue trunking systems left.

Thanks, John.

I wouldn't think so mate, Sydney Olympic Park Authority, ANZ Stadium, RAS Showgrounds, and Sydney Superdome have all gone to Digital Trunking.
