Vertical Telecoms
Vertical Telecoms
Any info on Vertical Telecoms? Apparently I picked them up on close call... yet they don't have any repeaters anywhere near me! Picked up 172.6625 which would've either come from Razorback or Newcastle... which are both some distance from the upper Blue Mountains. ACMA lists no other users of that frequency.

Err my bad, I just discovered they're the same as Vertel...

Re: Vertical Telecoms
and from your location you more than likely would be getting Razorback..
Vertel have a very interesting setup in the way of MPT systems and other such stuff... welcome your feedback and assistance wtih monitoring the systems up in the mountains

Re: Vertical Telecoms
My scanner isn't MPT capable, and neither do Vertel have any repeaters in my area... I'd say Razorback would be patchy at best. I really don't know how I picked up that freq on close call out in the sticks like I am...
Re: Vertical Telecoms
No scanner is MPT capable with out the assistance of external software.

Razorback would be patchy!!, have noticed quite a few times when traveling through the mountains espically around Blackheath can pick up channels south of Sydney around Goulburn and beyond that I can not pick up from my eleveted position in the south west, of course does not anwser the CC part.
Re: Vertical Telecoms
172.6625 is a trunk repeater input channel. It was possibly picked up by a passing vehicle keying up the repeater.
