I think LTR in Sydney is slowing dying
The Sydney Tower vertel site is now only 5 channels instead of 7
800Mhz LTR got killed off by Motorola in their quest to convert folk to TETRA
Just an observation after watching it since 2000

And for what it is worth, what LTR sites are being maintained appear to be slowly being upgraded to Kenwood NXDN digital
eg Vertel, Star City Casino etc.
In fact from what I have read so far on NXDN (which like P25 is FDMA) it appears to be the superior digital mode ... probably too experimental for government type applications like the GRN but seems to perform a lot better than the TDMA opposition eg TETRA and MTRBO.

Burswood Casino here in WA being one of those moving to TETRA.
