As alluded to earlier by System Tech, Telstra Fleetcoms MPT1327 network is closing down in about a years time (30th June 2020)
"1.1 Fleetcoms is not available for purchase by new customers from 30 July 2019.
Existing customers may continue to receive Fleetcoms on existing terms until further notice.
1.2 From 30 June 2020, we will exit the Fleetcoms product and cancel remaining Fleetcoms services."

Is this the 505mhz UHF band systems or the 167mhz VHF band systems?

Vertel owns the 505Mhz MPT1327 system you allude to
They have also a VHF MPT1327 setup (ID 00xx) which seems to be slowly getting switched over to DMR Tier 3
Fleetcoms MPT1327 has a Australia wide 400Mhz network as a well as the VHF MPT1327 system (both system ID's 5XXX)
It would seem the reason that Fleetcoms has lasted so long because of the need to support the Victorian State Mobile Radio VHF network.
Now that the SMR has migrated to the P25 RMR, they have given notice to close down the whole analogue network ... in todays terminology it is life expired and no doubt expensive to maintain a 25 year old network
