Hi all,

I was pondering this today, and was thinking about all the people that had bought P25 capable scanners that were now sitting on the shelf because the police have gone encrypted. I can't really think of much non-encrypted P25 thats left in Sydney...

soupbones mentioned that there is still Southern Highlands police, but does anyone else have anything to add?

1) Southern Highlands Police
2) Various P25 70cm repeaters

Does anyone have anything else to add?

i know its outside sydney but theres this little gem.
The ACT TRN, down in canberra. you need a digital capable scanner to hear anything down there on that system. all sites bar site 325(mt Jerrabomberra) and occasionally site 304 (Mt Ainslie) are basically digital.those 2 sites i mentioned have TG13248 going thru them at different times. i have heard analogue traffic on other sites from time to time. the TRN operates with the GRN.
cheers

Other then the security service in the city I mentioned the other day, I am not aware of any others, but i have heard recently that there are towies out there using P25 for company radios. Take that with a grain of salt but, as you know they mostly don't know what they are talking about.

NSWFB will be running P25 conventional for the Easter Show... listen around 421-428MHz during the Show.

Cheers,

Richard
