Some stations/zones are using P25 simplex. It is "unofficial" but the general view is if they find P25 suits their needs it isn't a big deal. The ICVs have both analogue & P25 repeater capability (Tait TB9100s).

Cheers,

Richard

It's not one of the GRN Statewide PMR freqs:

Base Tx / Base Rx
421.7625 428.7625
421.8375 428.8375
421.8750 428.8750
421.9250 428.9250
421.9875 428.9875
425.2625 Simplex
425.2875 Simplex
425.3625 Simplex
425.5000 Simplex
425.5875 Simplex

"293" is the default NAC in Motorola radios (but that doesn't seem to stop various people from using it)...

Looking further at the SES profile and 412.6250 is supposed to be an analogue repeater channel at "KURRAJONG HEIGHTS" (although it's actually reg'd to Department of Finance and Services not SES):

337-SW-KUR3 412.6250 403.1750 107.2Hz

Maybe SES are upgrading their few remaining PMR frequencies to P25 as well then?
