Thanks for that info, I will have another look, as a side note I have updated the old Uniden 996T and 996XT to the Uniden 536PT, I have used one for a while and they seem to be pretty good
UPDATE: There is a heap of 06 LCNs on all sites I can receive so that confirms it.
G'day Mark, yep, most users here on the South Coast went to Phase II quite a while ago (maybe 12 months back).

The only traffic around here still on Phase I seems to be marine radios for some reason (Waterways, Fisheries & Marine Rescue), not sure why. Maybe they're using a specific type of waterproof radio that isn't capable of Phase II?

I'm still using my trusty old 996XT's as well so it's all quiet until one of the Phase I radios joins nowadays! I've been meaning to upgrade but everything seems so damn expensive...

You are right about things being expensive, I was going to go for a SDS200E but couldn't justify the cost. I have been expecting this for a while so last year I purchased my first 536PT, took a bit of getting used to but I am quite happy with it now, shame no remote control though, I really don't know why they cut that feature out of the PT when the HP has it.
It's interesting about the marine radios, good theory about the waterproof radios

Just to add my 2 cents worth. The 536PT is in my opinion a better unit than the SDS200. Yes the 200 has the pretty colours and bigger screen, but you pay for those.

The UBCD536PT, like its portable cousin was imported by Pacific Telecommunication in Melbourne primarily for the CFA in Victoria. The CFA deemed the WiFi dongle unnecessary for their members. The decision rests with the CFA, not Uniden nor Pactel.

And Andrew, technically the APX series of radios are waterproof, or at least water resistant. The rugged version are better at resisting water, Motorola state; MIL-STD 512.X/I, IP68 (2 metres, 4 hours).

That's interesting thanks, I was blaming Uniden, it's still a good scanner though.

To add to this, since the CC change there has been TGs consistently logged that aren't usually active on this site.
