Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
3 new ACMA sites appeared under the GRN Client ID today, added to the map:
Microwave Relay Site - MITTAGONG (Kanangra High Range Road High Range) - ACMA Site: 9356
(microwave linked to site 003-049 at Bullio)
Microwave Relay Site - MOUNT VICTORIA (SRA Railway Yards off Patrick Street) - ACMA Site: 131085
(microwave linked to site 001-033 at Mount Tomah)
Microwave Relay Site - HELENSBURGH (Squash Centre Cemetery Rd) - ACMA Site: 201187
(microwave linked to site 003-046 at Maddens Plains)
Only link frequencies on all three so far, so nothing to add to the Unidentified Sites list yet.

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
With thanks to the forum member who just emailed me some UT screenshots for site 002-009 - COOLAH (Broombee Mtn), I've just updated that site on the list with a new BUCC, Voice Channels & Peers, as well as adjusting the peer lists of all of its peer sites.
Interestingly, that's the first time I've noticed that a NSW site has a mixture of LCNs from different bandplans (no doubt there are others I haven't noticed). Of course there's no reason that bandplans shouldn't be mixed, the VICMMR does this on pretty much every site, it just seems out of the ordinary for a NSWGRN site, although I must admit that the whole list hasn't been checked for quite some time.

Still all quiet on the mid north coast - no sign of any GRN within 80-100km of Port Macquarie

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
Thanks cartman, I'd guess that either Coolongolook (north of Bulahdelah) and/or Telegraph Point will be the first sites around Port, as they're the only ones I've seen with wide area frequencies licenced.
I'm still betting on the North Coast being zone 4 too...

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
I'm getting a control channel on 422.2625MHz. Site ID 174.
Comes up on ACMA as Garrawarra Hosp Helensburgh.
No activity as yet.

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
Thanks Mike, I'm a little surprised that one didn't get allocated a zone 3 number (I would've classed Helensburgh as a South Coast area myself, but I guess not)?
I've just moved that site out of the unidentified sites list and into the main list on page 1 of this thread, and I've also updated the map accordingly.
RFSS 001 Site 074 - HELENSBURGH (Garrawarra Hospital Princess Hwy) - ACMA Site: 202677
Do you have any way to capture the NAC or run UniTrunker on that control channel? And if so, do you have the AltCC or a list of peers handy?

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
Thanks cartman, I've updated those details in the list on page 1
But I'm a little confused, according to the ACMA all the frequencies listed against that site have an offset of +5.20MHz, which puts them squarely in bandplan 05 (as bandplan 04 has an offset of -9.45MHz)...
Tx 422.2625 MHz - Rx 427.4625 MHz should be LCN 05-0362
Tx 423.5125 MHz - Rx 428.7125 MHz should be LCN 05-0562
...Does that mean UT is reporting the LCNs incorrectly or have I got it wrong somewhere else?

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
The splits are confusing! Below 420MHz is Band 4 with offset -9.45MHz. Above 420MHz is Band 5 with an offset of +5.2MHz. Band 5 is designated for 'Harmonised State Networks' (eg GRN) with 422-424 MHz repeater TX outputs paired with 427-429MHz repeater RX inputs. There is some simplex in the middle of the assignment blocks too. The ACMA RALI GS1 document has more info for those interested.

Re: NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)
I couldn't find RALI:GS1 but I found a copy of RALI:MS22 that sets out the service allocations and it defines "Segment O" as 420.0000 to 430.0000 as above. And that segment has no paired segment so those frequencies appear to be the hard limits.
Since that segment must also include the Base RX frequencies, that means the highest LCN possible in Bandplan 05 should be (430.0000 minus 5.2000 equals) LCN 05-0768 424.8000MHz
Bandplan 04 would seem to fall under:
"Segment A" (403.00000 to 403.98125) paired with "Segment I" (412.46875 to 413.43125); and
"Segment C" (405.01875 to 406.00000) paired with "Segment K" (414.46875 to 415.44375); and
"Segment E" (406.10000 to 408.64375) paired with "Segment M" (415.56875 to 418.09375); and
"Segment F" (408.64375 to 410.54375) paired with "Segment N" (418.09375 to 420.00000).
That should mean the only valid LCN ranges within Bandplan 04 are:
04-0000 to 04-0153; and
04-0319 to 04-0475; and
04-0495 to 04-1204
I now have any LCNs outside those ranges flagged on my Bandplans list, but I guess that means I need to go through the sites list on the forum again to see if anything falls outside those ranges, if so then it's probably mislabeled?
