NSW P25 GRN - Site Listing (current)

As far as the HSGA sites go, the following 3 remain unchanged except I've added a note about the licencing:

RFSS 002 Site 072 - TRUNDLE (Adv Energy Site 1.7 km NE of Gobondry Trig)
Unknown Site # - FORBES (Comm Site Manna Mountain)
Unknown Site # - YELLOW MOUNTAIN (Telstra Site)

The following 4 sites have been upgraded from "Microwave Relay Site" to "Unknown Site #" with the same note added:

Unknown Site # - ABERDEEN (Rossgole Lookout)
Unknown Site # - EUGOWRA (NSW Police Site Round Hill)
Unknown Site # - MT DARLING (NSW Police Site)
Unknown Site # - WHO DA THOUGHT IT HILL (Broadcast Site)

The following 4 possible GRN sites have been added from scratch:

Unknown Site # - CARPENTERS HILL (4 km NW of Glenn Innes)
Unknown Site # - DUMARESQ (Little Duval Mountain via Boorolong Road)
Unknown Site # - GRIFFITH (Pioneer Park Museum Scenic Drive)
Unknown Site # - MUNGINDI (Broadcast Site 3km SE of)

And these 9 sites have been added to the "Special Purpose Sites" list (some of them were there previously):

Special Purpose Site - SYDNEY (GPO Martin Place)
Special Purpose Site - BARADINE (Macquarie Street)
Special Purpose Site - CANOWINDRA (Ambulance Station Browns Ave)
Special Purpose Site - COOLAH (Adj Queensborough Trig off Kerrawah Rd)
Special Purpose Site - GULARGAMBONE (Hospital Bourbah Street)
Special Purpose Site - MIRANDA (Office Twr Miranda Fair 600 The Kingsway)
Special Purpose Site - PEAK HILL (Water Reservoir off Frazer Ave)

That just leaves 82 sites which have a combo of both GRN & HSGA licences, I may go through them and add a note to each, or I might just wait and see what happens, I have a feeling more GRN sites will swap Client IDs shortly, but who knows what they're up to?

Although I feel like I'm going crazy... your list has 19 sites, and my list has 19 sites, but I can't see SPRINGBROOK QLD (39464) on your list, and I can't spot the extra site that I'm missing?? Can somebody 'sanity-check' me?

With regard to naming sites, I've been using the name as displayed on the ACMA listing. I can't tell you how confusing it gets when people (mainly on the SAGRN list) use local names or the names of nearby towns, it just makes things ten times harder. So I decided to use the name on the ACMA listing and be done with it, apologies if anyone usually refers to a site by a different name, maybe you could take it up with the ACMA and get the name changed on their website?

Anyhow, with 16 new sites yesterday, and 8 new sites the day before, I wonder what surprises today will bring?

Yep, I had added Mt Hyland in the previous update (auth 01JUN), which is why I couldn't see it missing... it's all good!

I'm a little disappointed today, doesn't look like anything has moved on either the GRN or HSGA Client IDs, maybe that's all of the microwave licences? Now we wait until the regular frequencies start appearing I guess?

ACMA look to be a little busy dealing with the NBN Co Licences instead

Two more GRN sites just popped up in the last couple of hours...

Microwave Relay Site - COPELAND TOPS (Radiocom Site via Barrington) - ACMA Site: 7436
Microwave Relay Site - UPPER MYALL (FM Site Cabbage Tree Mountain) - ACMA Site: 7463

Looks like they're starting to fill in the hole around Taree? Both sites and the microwave path added to the map.

P.S. I've moved the "Infrastructure" layer of the map to the top of the list, at least for the time being, for two reasons: firstly because it's by far the most active at the moment and it's easier to add new sites with it up the top; and secondly because the map loads 'top-down' and some of the microwave sites were obscuring actual GRN site sites, so it just looks better this way!

The "Unknown Sites" layer has now been moved to the bottom of the list and so will be loaded last, making them the most prominent.

Have any of the new GRN sites around Sydney come online yet? I did a control channel scan over the weekend but didn’t find anything new pop up.
