Site 109 looks ok at the moment, all peers are connected as normal. NSWFR (10103) with the most usage at the moment, no one else is using it.

The firees seem oblivious to the shut down. Heard one unit say they were having radio problems and their radio keeps switching to site only mode, but the operator then said, "we're getting the techs to look into it"

Hi all,

For those curious... tonight was the big switch over of all links from the "NOCC" at Sydney Police Centre to the back up or "DRNOCC". This is needed so that the strip out of all of the old hardware at SPC can happen- when the new fit out is completed everything gets switched back again but from that time we should have both NOCCs up & running in case one fails.

This outage was well publicised so agencies that have back-up systems should be using them.

Cheers,

Richard

This is amazing stuff - some units are still calling up, however site status on GPT is definitely "Site trunking". Seems theres two types of info as well - current and stale (I'm guessing stale is old cached data that might not be current since the site broadcasting it is off the wide area network)

10605 and 11108 seem to be the only other users at the moment using site 109, theres about 1/2 dozen NSWAS on 10330 just idling.

Very cool - Its GREAT to see DR being tested properly and used for a strategic upgrade like this!
