Remove Fisheries from 248xxxx
Add Encrypted User (State Government Agency) to 244xxxx
Add WaterNSW to 245xxxx and remove existing tag.
Edit 266xxxx to Various Encrypted Users (seems there is multiple users across this ID range)
Thanks again, Matt,

I've made the changes above on the list (on page 1 of this thread) and I'm looking down the bottom at the agencies "which are expected to migrate to the GRN by 2015" (that was a bit optimistic I think)...

Would "WaterNSW" be the same as the old "State Water Corporation"? The old webpage for SWC is gone so I'm wondering if they've undergone a name change?

And any idea what happened to Fisheries, did they leave the GRN altogether or just change IDs or...?

Andrew

WaterNSW is/was the Sydney Catchment Authority. who have a mixture of VHF/UHF and GRN.

I have a suspicion I overheard something about fisheries merging with someone (MSB???) so could explain that.

Could the above is the wrong way around?

From my records here:
242xxxx is Sydney Ports (using 10960)
245xxxx is NPWS (using 11421-3)
261xxx is WaterNSW - old SCA (using 11451-11459)

Confirmed 242xxxx = NPWS
With Park Air 3 communication with Bankstown Base on a 20xxx talkgroup.

Water NSW is confirmed 245xxxx.
2450003 Avon Tower
2453210 Catchment 210
2453215 Catchment 215

11451-11459 was being used by Defence for a short period of time a few years back. Do have recordings of various conversations.

Thanks Matt. I've gone back through everything, and seems I've noted them down from posts on here many years back.

On review now, I've got the (what you've confirmed) NPWS RIDs logging onto RFS channels from time to time, which makes more sense than Sydney Ports doing so. And while I do also have this NPWS RID range on a 204xx TG, I also have this range logging the 10960 (as mentioned) above - although admittedly back in 2017. Any idea if that 10960 TG part of the NPWS allocation?

Which means I no longer have any RID for Sydney Ports - any idea if they are on the GRN still?

Sydney Ports were on the Orion Network (DMR), I'd have to check to see if they are still active there.

Parks might of had some Maritime radios if its in the 10960, most of the time they were active was up on the central coast when there was a ship sinking or whale related activity.

NSW P25 GRN - Radio IDs - FISHERIES OFFICERS

Post by cartman » Fri May 17, 2019 9:59 am

https://psa.asn.au/summary-fisheries-me ... anagement/

GRN radio roll-out
The provision of radios and connection to the GRN network has been a major issue of interest for the PSA and members for a considerable time. We advised this should be a high priority to address the safety of officers. The PSA followed up on Fisheries’ commitment to roll out this necessary resource.

The roll-out is a phased one with priorities where the GRN is strong but a commitment that all Fisheries Officers within GRN coverage will have a radio. As the network expands, radios will be deployed. We were advised that a substantial number of radios will be rolled out within a few months with more to follow in 2020.

Been a long time since I've seen Sydney Water radios on the GRN, but did just notice some Affiliation Requests for radio ids 2260001 and 2260063. (sighted on Site 1-27)
